چکیده

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency is the most common hereditary enzyme defect in humans, caused by a mutation X-linked gene encoding G6PD. The G6PD plays an important role to produced reducing agents which maintain reduced glutathione through pentose phosphate pathway. On ingestion of Faba Bean (Vicia faba L.), vicine and convicine are hydrolyzed β -glucosidase divicine isouramil can cause acute hemolytic anemia patients with deficiency. This study aims determine molecular mechanism bioactive compounds from fava beans as inhibitor human Canton activity silico approach. Screening for toxic V. was carried out using Swiss ADME. Molecular docking performed identify interaction binding Canton. Dobutamine hydrochloride used negative control ligand. result ADME screening showed that were not qualified Lipinski rules five. Docking analysis demonstrated similar compared ligand bound canton allosteric sites shift position NADP+, suggesting these interrupt NADP+ produce NADPH. affinity (-7.0 kcal/mol) lower than dobutamine (-6.9 kcal/mol), while higher (-6.5 kcal/mol). Accordingly, this pointed have potential activity. Further, vivo vitro studies needed confirm research.

Trypsin inhibitor activity in the field bean (Vicia faba L.).

Wilson and McNab' reported an increase in live-weight and a reduction in pancreas size of chicks when field beans (Viciu fabu L.) were autoclaved at 120 "C for 30 min. Such effects may be due to the presence in the raw field bean of a trypsin inhibitor analogous to those found in the soyabean and other legumes. Information on the presence of trypsin inhibitors in the field bean and on growth of...

Factors influencing diamine oxidase activity and γ-aminobutyric acid content of fava bean (Vicia faba L.) during germination.

Factors (germination time, spectra, temperature, pH, and chemical inhibitors) influencing diamine oxidase (DAO, EC 1.4.3.6) activity and γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) content of fava bean (Vicia faba L.) during germination were investigated in this study. DAO activity significantly increased in germinating seeds but varied with different organs. The enzyme activity was higher in shoot than that in...

Enhancing faba bean (Vicia faba L.) genome resources

Grain legume improvement is currently impeded by a lack of genomic resources. The paucity of genome information for faba bean can be attributed to the intrinsic difficulties of assembling/annotating its giant (~13 Gb) genome. In order to address this challenge, RNA-sequencing analysis was performed on faba bean (cv. Wizard) leaves. Read alignment to the faba bean reference transcriptome identif...

Screening of faba bean (Vicia faba L.) accessions to acidity and aluminium stresses

BACKGROUND Faba bean is an important starch-based protein crop produced worldwide. Soil acidity and aluminium toxicity are major abiotic stresses affecting its production, so in regions where soil acidity is a problem, there is a gap between the potential and actual productivity of the crop. Hence, we set out to evaluate acidity and aluminium tolerance in a range of faba bean germplasm using so...

Susceptibility of Faba Bean (Vicia faba L.) to Heat Stress During Floral Development and Anthesis

Experiments were conducted over 2 years to quantify the response of faba bean (Vicia faba L.) to heat stress. Potted winter faba bean plants (cv. Wizard) were exposed to temperature treatments (18/10; 22/14; 26/18; 30/22; 34/26 °C day/night) for 5 days during floral development and anthesis. Developmental stages of all flowers were scored prior to stress, plants were grown in exclusion from ins...
